The Features of the Emigration to Canada from the Volyn Voivodeship of the Second Polish Republic in 1930–1939

The aim of this research is in the characterized specifics of the emigration from the Volyn Voivodeship territory to Canada in 1930–1939.
Methodology. In the process of this research various methods have been used, such as special historical methods (historical genetic, historical comparative, historical systematic, structural functional, socio-psychological and historic retrospective methods), statistical (direct and indirect methods, selective statistical study), sociological (quantitative and qualitative) methods of gathering the information and general scientific approaches (generalization, analysis, synthesis, comparison).
Scientific novelty. For the first time on the basis of a wide range of archival sources, most of which were first introduced into scientific circulation, an analysis of the peculiarities of emigration from the territory of Volyn Voivodeship to Canada in 1930–1939 was carried out. It is proved that despite the difficulties, some Volynians left their homeland in search of a better fate.
Conclusions. The establishment of the Emigration Syndicate in 1930 that was working on emigration cases, as the unique institution, has caused the concentration of all the documents within one fond of this institution. The studying of these documents gives an opportunity to engage the whole complex of new materials to the scientific circle. In this particular publication, the attempt to research peculiarities of the emigration from the Volyn Voivodeship to Canada has been made by the documents and materials, located in the State Archive of Rivne Region.
