Hryhorii Skovoroda: A Spiritual Reformer of the Ukrainian Worldview

The purpose of the article is to analyze the worldview of H.Skovoroda as integral and complete, in the context of his historical era.
The methodology is based on the principles of personal history, intellectual history, biographical method.
Scientific novelty. Various cultural influences found place in views of H.Skovoroda: Baroque, Old Kyivan scholarship, ancient motives, biblical tradition, and the philosophy of the Enlightenment. The main categories of his world-view were the principles of moral philosophy, the concept of human happiness, as well as the concepts of rationalism – the universal mind, premudrist – the human mind, and the cyclical understanding of historical time. H.Skovoroda is an author of the theory of three worlds, the concept of two natures, and the idea of meaning of congenial work (srodnist).
Conclusion. The spiritual revolution carried out by H.Skovoroda supplemented the Ukrainian cultural type, which included such features as sensuality, emotionality, humanity, imagery of thinking, a sense of beauty, with elements of rationalism and intellectualism.
