Лелантська війна і грецька колонізація підступів до Чорного моря

Метою є аналіз сучасної історіографії дискусійних питань початків північно-східного вектора Великої грецької колонізації, тобто освоєння еллінами північного узбережжя Егейського, берегів Мармурового морів та чорноморських проток, що уможливлювало подальшу колонізацію чорноморського басейна. При цьому колонізаційний процес розглядається в контексті міжполісних взаємовідносин VII—VI ст. до н. е., у центрі яких знаходиться так звана Лелантська війна — перший глобальний конфлікт античного світу, наслідком котрого, як уважається, став розподіл сфер колонізаційного впливу.
Наукова новизна. Вперше у вітчизняній історіографії проаналізовано вивчення питання початків колонізації північного берега Егейського, Мармурового морів та чорноморських проток у контексті наслідків поділу сфер колонізаційного впливу після Лелантської війни. Розглянуто як традиційну точку зору на ці процеси, так і погляди, які відкидають реальність цього глобального конфлікту та його вплив на процес колонізації.
Висновки. Новітні археологічні й епіграфічні матеріали свідчать не на користь скептичного погляду на Лелантську війну. Вони більшою мірою підтверджують та уточнюють писемну традицію, ніж заперечують її. Згідно з нею, під час конфлікту Мілет і Мегари були союзниками. Вірогідно, союзницькі відносини між ними тривали й у перебігу колонізації, поліси координували свої зусилля на колонізаційних шляхах. Тривалі дружні відносини як між метрополіями, так і між заснованими ними апойкіями підтверджуються даними епіграфіки. Тому цілком вірогідною виглядає концепція кооперації й розподілу сфер впливу між Мілетом та Мегарами під час колонізації басейну Мармурового моря та чорноморських проток. Ці союзницькі відносини, очевидно, збереглися і при освоєнні басейну Чорного моря.
