Abstract

Considered M.Hrushevs’kyi achievements in the field of historical sources studies. Emphasized that the academic, despite the lack of generalizing works this direction, leaving considerable theoretical and methodological heritage in this area. M.Hrushevs’kyi the outlined relation to different types and kinds of sources, research scientist toolkit, the use of external and internal criticism of sources. It is concluded that the scientific development of humanity sciences, to which had joined M.Hrushevs’kyi, based primarily on extensive research sources and monuments that have survived from the past.
