Abstract

The purpose of the study is to publish and analyze memoriеs of residents of the village Polubotky in suburbs of the city of Chernihiv during the offensive of the Russian occupational troops (February 24 – April 2, 2022).

To reach the purpose the method of interviewing was used according to specially elaborated thematic questionnary.

Scientific novelty means introduction into research space of new oral history sources about the strategies of survival of rural population of Chernihiv oblast that found itself in conditions of military actions and occupation.

Conclusions. Collected testimonies of residents of Chernihiv oblast who found themselves in conditions of occupation, blockade and active combat actions can be treated as additional source base in the case of fixation of events of the Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as the reasonable source of investigation of the practices of everyday life and the strategies of survival.
