The purpose of the publication is to reproduce the course of events in the territory of the village of Tupychiv, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region, during the large-scale Russian aggression and temporary occupation of the settlement in February — April 2022, based on the testimonies of local residents.
The methodological basis of the research is a set of general scientific and specific historical principles and methods, among which the practical use of opportunities and tools of oral history played a leading role.
The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the proposed survey is one of the first attempts to study the course of large-scale Russian aggression in 2022 at the level of a separate settlement.
Conclusions. The course of the temporary Russian occupation of Tupychiv village in February — April 2022 is reconstructed in chronological order. Using the example of the settlement, the elements of the policy of the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied territories, propaganda treatment and intimidation of the civilian population, robbery of property, looting, etc., are revealed. It was established that the Russian occupation caused damage to the industrial and sociocultural infrastructure of the village and the farms of local residents.
