In the digest of publications of diaspora press that devoted to the “Ukrainian Historical Journal” lightens up the multifaceted reception of that time journal during 1958–1992. Article analyzed the various issues and contents of publications, the orientation and principles of editorial policy, the indexes of circulation, the influence of the political conjuncture and the ideological metamorphosis to the historians’ research practices in the Ukrainian SSR.
