Abstract

Based on archival materials and testimony, author in this article showed the progress of collectivization and famine swings in Polish villages of Soviet Ukraine. Noted the individual and collective behavior of Poles in hunger, attempts to rescue and care objection others. The attention is paid to the peculiarities and specifics of the Polish population in comparison with the local Ukrainian population. Also, proved that food difficulties, including fatal cases, had experienced as Poles, who shared the tragic fate of the specified time with other residents of Ukraine. Author showed the attitude of II Rzeczpospolitа to the fate of the Polish population for Zbruch.
