Abstract

Summary. Objective: to analyze the effectiveness subtotal
resection of bone in children with malignant tumors, using autoplasty defect autoclaved and vascularized fibula
bone lesions in advanced tumor to metaepiphysis zone.
Subjects and methods: for period from September 2010
for October 2015 8 children (4 girls, 4 boys) were operated
in age from 9 to 14 with malignant bones tumors, the extent of defeat was about ⅔ of the bone length. Results: no
local recurrence of the tumor was noted at time of observation from 4 to 54 months. Functional outcome according
to Musculoskeletal Tumor Society was 90.0 ± 8.5%.
