"INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES OF SCREENING, DIAGNOSTICS AND PERSONALIZED CANCER THERAPY" (October 3–4, 2019, Kyiv)

Abstract

On October 3–4, 2019, the Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Technologies for Screening, Diagnostics and Personalized Cancer Therapy” was held in Kyiv. The organizers of the Conference are the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology (IEPOR) named after R.E. Kavetsky of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine and the National Association of Oncologists of Ukraine. The conference is dedicated to the problems of diagnostic effectiveness of laboratory, instrumental, molecular genetic and epigenetic methods for screening and predicting the aggressiveness of the course of malignant neoplasms. In particular, the issues of identifying circulating tumor-associated markers for monitoring the tumor process and personalized therapy design were considered; the application of personalized principles of chemo-, hormonal and targeted therapy in the treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms; the importance of biotherapy in increasing the effectiveness of drug treatment and in improving the quality of life of oncological patients. Leading specialists — oncologists from scientific and medical institutions in Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, and Chernivtsi — took part in the Conference.
