Summary. The 8th edition of TNM classification (UICC,
AJCC, 2017) introduced changes to the T, N, and M
categories that reflect contemporary views on the clinical (cTNM) and pathological (pTNM) prognostic stages
groups in melanoma patients. From clinical positions commented on the key changes that have occurred in the classification of skin melanoma.
