ONCOVASCULAR SURGERY OF THE INFRARENAL AORTA AND INFERIOR VENA CAVA. CASE REPORT
Keywords:
simultaneous venous and arterial resection/reconstruction, retroperitoneal tumor.Abstract
Summary. Aim: the clinical case of combined removal
of retroperitoneal tumor, resection and one-stage reconstruction of the infrarenal part of the aorta and the
lower vena cava (LVC) in a patient aged 27 years is
presented. Results: at the 25th post-operative day, the
patient was registered from the hospital in a satisfactory condition. According to the ultrasound examination,
for 4.5 months from the moment of operative intervention of the veins of the lower extremities and LVC in the
prosthetic zone passages, have satisfactory blood flow.
For direct and indirect signs, blood flow in the aorta
and arteries of the lower extremities is within normal
limits. Conclusion: a non-standard surgical approach
successfully used, including one-stage resection and reconstruction of the infrarenal part of aorta and LVC.
Such a tactic can be safe and effective in case of meticulous patients selection.
