Abstract

Summary. The work is devoted to the actual problem
of oncology — hereditary breast cancer (BC). The
analysis and generalization of data of scientific literature on hereditary forms of BC, their prevalence,
genetic features, in particular, the frequency of mutations in the genes of BRCA1/2 in this form of pathology
(in Ukraine and in the world) has been carried out. Information on the current state of surveillance of healthy
women — carriers of BRCA1/2 gene mutations (associated with hereditary forms of cancer), principles
of preventive measures for the occurrence of hereditary BC that should increase the efficacy of prevention of BC in healthy carriers of gene mutations, improvement of long-term treatment results patients and,
in general, a better understanding of the proper management of such patients at all stages.
