Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Board follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards, according to which plagiarism is a violation of intellectual property and is strictly unacceptable. When preparing a manuscript, authors are required to provide proper citations for any ideas, text, or results belonging to others.
Plagiarism – the substantial appropriation of someone else's text, figures, or data without proper attribution (citation).
Self-plagiarism – re-submitting one’s own previously published data as new. When reusing fragments of their previous works, authors must cite them and provide a reference to the original source.
Duplicate Publication – reusing large portions of one’s own publications without referencing the source, or submitting an identical manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
All manuscripts undergo screening for plagiarism and self-plagiarism during the preliminary review stage. The editorial staff uses the StrikePlagiarism.com service to generate an originality report. Based on this report, a final decision is made to either send the manuscript for peer review or reject it (in cases of a high percentage of borrowed text or total duplication).
Exceptions.
The Journal does not consider full-length articles based on scientific conference abstracts to be duplicate publications, provided they include an expanded description of the methodology, research results, and analysis.
Posting preprints (author versions prior to peer review on public servers) is not considered duplicate publication. Authors must notify the editors of the existence of a preprint. After the article is published in the Journal, the author must update the preprint server with a link to the final version of the article.
Editorial Actions in Case of Plagiarism:
- If plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplicate publication is detected during the peer review or editorial processing stage, the article will be rejected without the right to resubmit.
- If plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplicate publication is discovered in an already published article, a public notice will be posted on the article’s webpage, and the retraction procedure will be initiated.
