Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence

In its policy regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by authors or reviewers of scientific publications, the journal's Editorial Board adheres to the recommendations of STM (International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers) and EASE (European Association of Science Editors). When using AI to prepare scientific publications, strict standards must be followed to ensure author accountability and the reliability of information.

AI Guidelines for Authors

  1. According to international standards, AI and AI-based technologies cannot be listed as authors of scientific publications or bear legal responsibility for the content of the work. The authors of the article bear personal responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the entire manuscript.
  2. Authors may use AI tools only as assistive resources during manuscript preparation (e.g., grammar and style checks, data processing, text structuring, translation, linguistic editing, etc.). AI-generated results must not be used without proper verification and editing by the author.
  3. Authors must clearly state which AI tool was used, for what purpose, and in which part of the manuscript. A corresponding disclosure must be included in the MATERIALS AND METHODS section.
  4. The use of AI to create illustrations or graphs must be explicitly disclosed. It is strictly prohibited to use AI for creating fake images or for data fabrication.

AI Guidelines for Reviewers

  1. EASE emphasizes that reviewers are not permitted to upload manuscripts to AI tools. This violates the author's right to confidentiality and intellectual property principles, as data uploaded into AI systems becomes part of its training database.
  2. Reviews generated entirely by artificial intelligence will not be considered, as they lack critical expert analysis.

In the event of violations related to the unethical use of AI, the Editorial Board reserves the right to: request an explanation or correction; reject the manuscript.
