Проведено оцінку стану і результатів діяльності промислових підприємств в Україні та областях Західного регіону за основними показниками упродовж 2010—2015 рр. Визначено основні позитивні і негативні економічні тенденції розвитку промислової діяльності. Окреслено основні економічні проблеми функціонування і розвитку промислового виробництва на сучасному етапі. Запропоновано заходи із забезпечення і підвищення рівня конкурентоспроможності вітчизняного промислового виробництва в умовах вільної торгівлі між Україною та Європейським Союзом.
