Корпоративні міста: визначення, характерні риси, історична доля

Визначаються основні характерні риси корпоративних міст на основі прикладів із США та України кінця XIX – початку ХХ ст. Від середини XIX ст. корпоративні міста стали символом індустріальної епохи та основою економічного зростання в багатьох країнах світу. Політична й економічна монополія компанії в такому місті створювала унікальний простір для соціальних експериментів із робітничими спільнотами, до яких удавалися підприємці та наймані ними спеціалісти. Корпоративне місто розглядається як теоретична конструкція при вивченні взаємодії бізнесу і спільнот, що може бути ефективним дослідницьким
інструментом. Аналізуються такі характерні риси корпоративних міст, як географічні ізоляція, домінування однієї галузі індустрії, корпоративні соціальні програми, плановість, сеґреґація та ін.
