Обзор представляет современную информацию о роли внеклеточного компонента — экстрацеллюлярного матрикса (ЭЦМ) — системы соединительной ткани в патогенезе метастазирования. После краткого изложения общих представлений об ЭЦМ с ориентацией преимущественно на работы
последнего десятилетия рассматриваются следующие вопросы: состояние ЭЦМ в условиях гипоксии; участие компонентов ЭЦМ в формировании метастатических ниш; возможные пути влияния ЭЦМ на эпителиально-мезенхимальный переход; характер взаимодействия компонентов
ЭЦМ с клетками системы иммунитета; роль ЭЦМ в ангиогенезе. Изложенные сведения позволяют заключить, что ЭЦМ осуществляет контроль за инвазией и метастазированием опухолевых клеток; его дисрегуляция — важнейший этап метастатического процесса. Уровень современных знаний дает все основания рассматривать изменения ЭЦМ как
важный этап патогенеза опухолевого процесса, а его компоненты — как
мишень для возможного терапевтического воздействия с учетом их роли
в развитии различных опухолей.
