Досліджено генезу та сучасний зміст соціально відповідального господарювання як самостійного економіко-правового явища. Проаналізовано основні етапи історичного розвитку соціальної відповідальності бізнесу. Обґрунтовано, що соціально відповідальна поведінка бізнесу не може зводитися ані до благодійності, ані до суто
добровільних ініціатив, оскільки в сучасних умовах вона дедалі більше інтегрується у систему правового регулювання та корпоративного управління. Показано взаємозв’язок та відмінності за цілями, інструментами і правовою природою соціально відповідальної поведінки бізнесу зі сталим розвитком, комплаєнсом, ESG та належною обачністю. Наголошено на методологічних підходах до аналізу соціально відповідального господарювання, що дає змогу розглядати його як багатовимірне явище на перетині приватних і публічних інтересів. Підсумовано, що сучасне соціально відповідальне господарювання формується як результат поєднання добровільних зусиль бізнесу та зростання нормативних вимог, що має ключове значення для розвитку господарського права та державної політики в Україні.
