Abstract

Theoretical preconditions (paradigmatic) for possibilities of researching the regional economic system have been examined. The constructive features of the understanding the region as an economic system are grounded. The approaches to the regional economic system decomposition are substantiated. There emphasized that the diagnostics of the regional economic system serves for providing decomposition and identification of problematic situations in the territorial organization of productive forces.
