Abstract

The paper describes the notion «diagnostics of a regional society». It has been grounded that the diagnostics of a regional society should be carried out in the context of social groups taking into account their specific functions as well as main components of the population’s social life reproduction in a region. The diagnostics of a regional society will allow to reveal general trends in the development of the society and on other hand_ on the basis of the regularities revealed to work out principles, goals and directions of the regional policy of society development.
