Abstract

The article deals with the actual scientific problem of defining the legal status of the foundations under the Ukrainian law and legislation of some EU countries (France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, etc.). The problems of regulation of business activities of the foundations and their possible shareholding are examined. The arguments are given in favor of the point of view that expresses the necessity of establishing certain limits for foundations as for their participation in business associations and private enterprises.
