Abstract

The article estimates possibilities and limitations in application of an integration approach to regional development. In particular, the aims, potential and features of its realization under socio-economic conditions in Ukraine are determined. The author has formulated the basic imperatives of process of formation of the extended space of the interregional economic system in the structure of the national economy of Ukraine. Based on estimation of integration depth, the pattern of formation of interregional economic systems in Ukraine expedient from the point of view of present integration co-operations is proposed. The basic instruments of integration co-operations intensification are specified within the limits of the interregional economic systems (clusters, macroregions).
