Abstract

The paper analyses and identifies the factors which have a negative effect on Ukraine’s metallurgical indus­try’s competitiveness in the foreign market. To increase the competitiveness of the above industry, the increase in capital investments is necessary for making moder­nization of structure of metal products, excluding aban­doned facilities from operation and reducing the staff; it will allow to produce high-tech products and thus, increase the proportion of metal in the external market.
