Abstract

The paper investigates the problem of insurance fraud as the product of motivation and its possibilities under information asymmetry. The concept «insurance fraud» is defined taking into account the role of the insurance market entities. The author classifies the insurance frauds and shows the difficulties in regulation of the insurance fraud counteraction processes. The expediency of creating the insurance detective agency as a necessary element of the safety mechanism and insurance fraud counteraction is grounded. The scheme of interrelations between an insurance detective agency, market subjects and public authorities has been built.
