THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MARKET AS A FACTOR IN STRENGTHENING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF THE STATE

Abstract

The article examines the relationship between the functioning of the intellectual property market and the of the state economic security. The modern world is characterized by the growing role of intellectual property as a key element of economic development and national security. The contribution of intellectual property to the creation of added value, stimulation of innovation, and enhancement of the competitiveness of the national economy in global markets is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms by which effective management and protection of intellectual assets contribute to strengthe ning economic stability and sovereignty.

It has been determined that a developed intellectual property market is not only a catalyst for technological progress but also a powerful tool for diversifying the economy, attracting investment, and shaping the country’s image as an innovation leader. The challenges and threats arising in the field of intellectual property, such as piracy, copyright infringement, and technology leakage, which can undermine the economic security of the state, are examined. The impact of globalization processes on the functioning of the intellectual property market and its role in the context of the integration of the national economy into the global system is analyzed.

The conclusions justify the need to develop and implement effective state policy in the field of intellectual property, which would ensure reliable protection of owners’ rights, stimulate the commercialization of intellectual activity results, and contribute to the formation of a favorable innovation climate. It is emphasized that the further development of the intellectual property market is a strategic direction for strengthening Ukraine’s economic security and ensuring its sustainable growth in the context of global transformations.
