Abstract

The article gives assessment to competitive positions of regions in Ukraine. Some competitive positions which characterize the competitiveness of Ukrainian regions by a number of indices have been analyzed. After analyzing the regional competitive positions, a general conclusion is made that introduction of available elements of productive forces has a contradictory character: separate factors are used more intensively on small-size territories; there is reverse dependence between separate indices related to use of the productive forces elements; lack of the necessary information in the statistical year-books doesn’t allow to get a more complete picture of regional competitive positions.
