The anniversary session of the International Association of Academies of Sciences, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of its foundation

Abstract

The anniversary session of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) was held on the platform of the International Congress on Intellectualization of Economy in the city of Minsk on September 20–21, 2018. The opening ceremony of the anniversary IAAS session took place in the small conference hell of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus. It was followed by the opening and plenary session of the congress in the grand conference hall of the NAS of Belarus, with the delivered welcome addresses from the presidents of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan; speeches of IAAS chairman V.G. Gusakov, presidents of academies of science of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan; vice president of the NAS of Ukraine A.H. Naumovets; vice president of Kurchatov Institute (Russia) O.S. Naraikin. The anniversary session of the IAAS Council was held on September, 21 in the building of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, which participants listened to the reports, dealt with working issues included in the schedule, and approved a series of resolutions. Attached to the article is the Regulation of the International Association of Academies of Sciences approved by the IAAS constituent meeting on September 23, 1993, with amendments and supplements made by subsequent resolutions by the IAAS Council.
