Abstract

The article contains a review of International Scientific and Practical Conference “Patriotism and Patriotic Education in the Context of Contemporary Challenges” held in the city of Minsk on May 16–17, 2019; the session of the Scientific Council on Science of Science at the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) in this conference framework; International symposium “National Academies of Sciences: current performance, problems, development prospects and priorities of cooperation within the framework of IAAS” held in Kyiv on June, 6–7, 2019; the session of the IAAS Scientific Council on Science of Science, held as part of this conference in the form of round table “Academy form of science organization: peculiarities, merits, contradictions, and unresolved problems – global experiences and the situation in Academies of Sciences with IAAS membership”. Annex 1 contains Proposals of the members of the IAAS Scientific Council on Science of Science on improving the Scientific Council’s activities and the development of science of science studies in the National Academies of Sciences with IAAS membership; Annex 2 provides Recommendations of the session of the IAAS Scientific Council and the round table “Academy form of science organization: peculiarities, merits, contradictions, and unresolved problems – global experiences and the situation in Academies of Sciences with IAAS membership”.
