science, basic research, science history, chronology, physicsAbstract
A new way of writing the history of basic research is proposed: through the prism of the history of its key (breakthrough) ideas, theories and discoveries (scientific innovations), in a chronological framework, supplemented by the history of top facts important for this science as a whole and its selected areas.
