Spacebit Company: Сreating a New Story of Space Research

Interview of P. Tanasiuk, Company Founder and Director General, to the Journal “Science and Science of Science”

Abstract

Pavlo Tanasiuk spoke about the development of the spacecraft industry, collaboration with Ukrainian specialists and the first Ukrainian-British mission to the Moon. P. Tanasiuk answered the questions of what is the uniqueness, novelty and potential of the mission to the Moon and the Ukraine’s contribution to the mission. He gave his judgment the present-day performance of R&D in spacecraft and/or robotic technology in Ukraine, new publications and patents of Ukrainian specialists, which could be useful in implementing company’ projects; informed about professional contacts of designers of company products with research organizations and universities of Ukraine, on administrative, organizational, mental and financial impediments to setting efficient collaboration with Ukrainian specialists in spacecraft and robotic technology; gave his opinion of the Ukraine’s chances to regain leading positions in the spacecraft, and on the possible contribution of the Ukrainian diaspora in the improvement of performance of the Ukrainian R&D.
