Abstract

The solidarity with the Ukrainian people due to the Russian aggression is expressed, with informing the intention of creating University of New Europe as a shared space for education, research and dialog. University of New Europe is supposed to combine and expand the opportunities of students and staff across Europe, with special emphasis placed on the parts of the European continent where intellectual freedom is at risk and main academic fields remain underdeveloped. University of New Europe, by using English, Russian and other languages as working ones, is intended to bridge the gap created by repressions of prominent higher education institutions of East Europe. A document (a guidebook) has been prepared, containing contacts in emergency situations and opportunities for emergency funding for researchers and students, artists, journalists, lawyers and human rights activities from Ukraine, Russian, and Belarus.
