Abstract

The book shows new opportunities for improvements in the administration of technology transfer in research universities, including ones in Ukraine. The theses set out in it can be laid as the basis for a new methodological paradigm of technology transfer administration in view of the peculiar trends in evolution of the domestic R&D, economy, business, high tech market and global demand for innovations. In the practical perspective, it will decrease administrative uncertainties for small and medium innovative enterprises and higher education institutions at the phase of forming a portfolio of advanced innovative developments and inventions, as well as own innovation-based strategy of development. The first section of the book is devoted to examination of theoretical foundations for boosting technology transfer in a post-industrial economy. The second section contains an analysis of institutional support to intensification of technology transfer in the knowledge-based economy. The third section gives insight of practices meant to intensify technology transfer in universities across the globe. The fourth section elaborates on controversies in the development of research universities in Ukraine in the context of intensified technology transfer. The fifth section discusses schemes for global marketing of the results of applied research produced by Ukrainians.
