Session of the Scientific Council on Science of Science at the International Association of Academies of Sciences

Abstract

A next, the tenth, session of the Scientific Council on Science of Science at the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) was held in Kyiv, on March 12, 2018. This session was attended by scientists from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, and Ukraine; members of other similar public entities that perform under the IAAS aegis and have basic research organizations at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine; representatives of the Consultative Council on Intellectual Property Protection and Technology Transfer. The session was opened by the report about IAAS missions delivered by Petro Vytiaz, acting vice president of IAAS. The discussion covered a broad range of issues pertaining to the activities of IAAS and scientific councils created at IAAS, potential changes in their composition and statute documents, their unification, work plans of scientific councils, and the events commemorating the 25th anniversary of IAAS.
