Regular bursts of interest in the absurd in literature and art, in theater and cinema are explained by the fact that this is how real life is reflected. And now, in the XXI century, the time of science has come. The passion for reforming Russia “to the point of annihilation” has revived the genre of scientific humor, bringing it to the point of harsh satire on the ongoing transformations. An example is the parody “Fundamentals of the Theory of Reforming Science” by сorresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yu. M. Baturin, a member of the editorial board and a frequent author of our journal. Laughter is a powerful weapon, but even in a satirical annotated work, the conclusion is extremely serious: “The organization of scientific work should be left to the free scientific creativity of scientists” (аcademician V. I. Vernadsky).
