About M.V. Popovych

Abstract

Myroslav Popovych is an outstanding Ukrainian philosopher, public and political activist, doctor of philosophy (1966), professor, member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2003), Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (2000), president of the Philosophical Society of Ukraine, member of the Ukrainian Committee on State Prizes, president of “Ukraine – France” society, editor-in-chief of a series of Ukrainian scientific journals. He is a graduate from the philosophy department of Kyiv University. The contemporary Ukrainian philosophy and even culture cannot be adequately conceptualized without consideration for the scientific legacy of M. Popovych. Details of the scientific career and the list of main works of M. Popovych are given.
