Abstract

The International Congress on Intellectual Economy, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS), was held in Minsk, on September 20–21, 2018. The congress comprised a series of international scientific and practical conferences with the following thematic coverage: “International interactions and vital challenges of modernity” (organized by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus); “The ‘science – technology – innovation’ system: methodology, experience, prospects” (organized by the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Studies of the NAS of Belarus); “The strategy for economic development of Belarus: challenges, implementation tools, and prospects” (organized by the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus); “Belorussian R&D in the modernization context” (organized by the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Belarus); “The development of informatization and the state science & technology information system” (organized by the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus). The article provides a review of presentations delivered at these conferences.
