Ukraine honors the memory of Leonid Kadeniuk, the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine

Abstract

January 31, 2019 marks one year passed since the death Leonid Kadeniuk, the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine, the Hero of Ukraine. The Kyiv planetarium hosted a press conference organized by the Airspace Society of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Youth Airspace Association “Suziria”, the Council for Environmental Safety and the society “Bukovyna”, in which a memorial week of the first Ukrainian cosmonaut was announced. The press conference presented the medal “Star of Cosmonaut Kadeniuk” established by these organizations.
