Introduction. The focus of our research is the problem of using the interoperability methodology in the development of biological and medical information systems based on a system-hierarchical approach. Technological support for the interoperability of decision support systems in various areas of human activity improves the quality of their functionality, making them effective, understandable, and accessible for wide use.
The purpose of the development is to show the feasibility of using a methodological approach using interoperability technology to ensure balanced interaction of the modular structure of information and computer systems, which are created when solving problems in applied developments of digital medicine related to health assessment and support.
Research methods: hierarchical synthesis of information components of three health statuses, structural-functional modeling, method of hierarchical convolution of different quality indicators, quantitative health assessment — method of calculating the personal health index, and technology of algorithmic and software modeling.
Results. The main provisions for ensuring interoperability in a complex structural-hierarchical system of quantitative health assessment are formulated, taking into account existing model ideas regarding the structural features of interoperability. Attention is focused on the principle of interoperability used in the developed computer system of quantitative health assessment and its components. This principle is also implemented in the rehabilitation decision support system, taking into account personal characterological properties. In the synthesized system, interoperability is achieved by developing a complex software that combines software modules: express diagnostics of the state of three health statuses, a module for assessing the characterological features of a person based on the developed classification, and a control module for selecting rehabilitation measures depending on the intensity of the manifestation of characterological components.
Conclusion. The use of the principle of interoperability in solving applied problems of digital medicine, including the problem of developing a rehabilitation decision support system, makes it possible to ensure the interaction of both individual modules in specific programs. The information in these programs is of different quality, contains different types of data, and involves the interaction of software created in different programming languages. It requires coordination when implementing information exchange between these programs. The functioning of these three software modules in a complex ensures effective interaction of the developed decision support system and optimizes the rehabilitation process.
