The Journal Information Technologies and Systems was founded in 2025 by the resolution of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine No. 522 dated 26 Dec. 2024 as a combined Control Systems and Computing Journal and the Cybernetic and Computer Engineering Journal.

The aim of the Journal is to publish the results of scientific research. The tasks of the Journal are to ensure verification, impartial review, publication, and to promote the development of publication skills of young scientists, etc.
The Journal publishes original scientific and review papers on the results of fundamental and applied research in the field of computer science and information technologies, intelligent management and systems, methods and means of information and technological support of knowledge, the application of these technologies in various spheres of life.
The scope of the Journal corresponds to the field of knowledge F "Information Technologies and Systems" with specialties F3 ─ Computer Science, F4 ─ Systems Analysis and Data Science, F5 ─ Cybersecurity and Information Protection, F6 ─ Information Systems and Technologies, F7 ─ Computer Engineering, G7 ─ Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics (according to ISCED-F 2013 these are: 0613 ─ Development and Analysis of Software and Applications, 0688 ─ Interdisciplinary Programs and Qualifications Including Information and Communication Technologies, 0612 ─ Design and Administration of Databases and Networks, 0714 ─ Electronics and Automation).
The Journal was included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine since 1 Jun. 2026.
The Journal is also currently included in the Journal Support Program of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. And authors are not charged a publication fee, and no fees are charged from the moment of submission to publication, including paper submission fee, editorial processing fee, paper processing fee (APC), page fee, color fee, etc.
Submissions undergo technical plagiarism check in the StrikePlagiarism.com system and peer review (usually double-blind).
The Papers are published in the public domain under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 — Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license.
This is an Open Access Journal, which means that all content is freely available to the user or his/her institution at no cost.
