The purpose is to make public the testimonies of eyewitnesses of Russian war crimes brutal treatment, and murders of civilians by the occupationists in the Zolotynka village in the Chernihiv region. At the beginning of the invasion, in search of safety, the family of the informant came to the village a few kilometers from the highway Kyiv — Chernihiv and found themselves under occupation. Here, on suspicion of helping Ukrainian troops, the occupiers (with the participation of a local collaborator) shot the woman’s grandson and neighbor.
The research method was interviewing based on a previously developed questionnaire.
The scientific novelty consists in the introduction into scientific circulation of oral historical sources about the survival strategies of the civilian population of the Zolotynka village in occupation.
Conclusions. The collected evidence is an integral segment of the source base for research on the Russo-Ukrainian war in the Chernihiv region, everyday practices in the conditions of hostilities, resistance to Russian aggression, and interaction with enemies and collaborators.
