The history of the United Nations is an example of resolving complex international conflicts. UN survives classic Cold War. After the collapse of USSR, the work of the UN intensified. The crisis of the unipolar system of international relations has again exacerbated the problem of establishing international legal, political, organizational and mental foundations for the formation of a new postmodern system of international relations.
The purpose of the study is to highlight trends in the deepening crisis of the United Nations in the context of the global hybrid war for the redistribution of resources, power and wealth between the various centers of the multipolar world.
The research methodology is based on a critical historical analysis of the global international UN institution, the principles of historicism, systematization.
The scientific novelty is to identify the key contradictions in the formation of a postmodern system of international relations in fact in the context of a global hybrid war. The local-civilization, socio-economic, and mental characteristics of the unipolar system of international relations are eroding.
Conclusions. The postmodern system of international relations is a format of complex interaction of five worlds: the countries of the Euro- Atlantic area, China, developing countries, weakened by global competition, countries that are losing subjectivity. Liberal globalization is complemented by glocalization. The United States and China are in conflict as the main poles of power in the new multipolar system of international relations. Washington has chosen a strategy of long-term containment of China. Beijing is resorting to an asymmetric strategy of influencing the United States. The preservation of the UN is necessary to prevent the use of force to accelerate the formation of a multipolar system of international relations.
