OUTSTANDING UKRAINIAN ECONOMICS SCIENTIST AND EDUCATOR: IN MEMORY OF VIRA KUTSENKO

Abstract

On August 22, 2025, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Science and Technology Figure of Ukraine, Excellent Educationist of Ukraine, one of the outstanding scientists who initiated the study of the social sphere of Ukraine as a separate object of scientific analysis, Vira Kutsenko passed away. Over more than half a century of scientific activity, she contributed to the study of theoretical and practical aspects of the development of socio-humanities, the formation and implementation of social policy, territorial organization of social infrastructure, economics and management in education. The results of her scientific research were widely used in practice. She also taught in higher education institutions and served as a supervisor for a whole galaxy of doctors of science and candidates of science. She was a very prolific author, with a total number of publications exceeding half a thousand works. Vira Kutsenko was an extremely hardworking, persistent scholar and principled person, a personality who is undoubtedly an example of dedicated service to science.
