To the 60th ANNIVERSARY OF DOCTOR OF ECONOMICS VLADYSLAV ZYMOVETS

Abstract

September 8, 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the famous scientist, Doctor of Economics, Chief Research Fellow at the Department of Public Finance of the State Organization "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine" Vladyslav Zymovets.

Mr. Zymovets was born in 1965 in Kyiv. In 1988, he graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy (now the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman). Since 1995, he has connected his life with science, working first at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Ukraine, and since 2005 at the SO "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine". In 2011, he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic "State Financial Policy for Economic Development". Since 2023, he has held the position of Chief Research Fellow at the Department of Public Finance, where he continues research in the field of corporate finance, strategies and tactics of business financing under instability.

With his direct participation, a significant number of thorough scientific and analytical reports were prepared, such as "The Global Crisis and Its Possible Consequences for the Economy of Ukraine in 2009", "Financial and Monetary Risks to Economic Development of Ukraine in 2014–2015 and Ways to Mitigate Them", "Financial Mechanism for Ensuring the Development of Ukraine’s Real Sector", "Attraction of Foreign Credit Borrowings on the "Marshall Plan" Principles", "Assessment of Ukraine's Losses from the Military Invasion of the Russian Federation", "Finances of Ukrainian Enterprises During the War and the Tasks of Their Post-War Restoration", etc.

His personal research path is reflected in numerous scientific publications, the number of which exceeds 100. In particular, these are individual monographs "Accumulation of Financial Resources and Economic Development" (2003), "State Financial Policy for Economic Development" (2010).

Mr. Zymovets harmoniously combines scientific activity with organizational and teaching work, for many years he has been a member of the editorial board of the journal "Economy of Ukraine".
