The main factors that shape the global demand for titanium metal products in promising markets, including security, geopolitical, energy, environmental, and innovative ones, are analyzed. The authors determine future global needs for titanium metal products in promising market segments until 2030, which will generally have a growth trend. The most promising market segments include: aircraft and automobile manufacturing, including electric transport; defense industry; medical sector; shipbuilding.
It is determined that the basis for the development of the above-mentioned high-tech product markets is their provision with critical raw materials, where the issue of reducing dependence on external titanium metal suppliers and ensuring stable and resilient supply chains is at the center of institutional decision-making and public discussions.
To meet the needs of global demand for titanium metal products, the market must have stable supplies, including from Ukrainian producers. This opens up opportunities for processing most of the titanium raw materials in Ukraine and exporting products with higher added value. Promising areas for expanding the production of titanium metal products in Ukraine to meet domestic needs and enter fast-growing world markets are the formation of effective state strategic management; strengthening protective mechanisms for the extraction and supply of titanium raw materials for domestic producers, and creating a favorable investment environment. In addition, given the global sustainability trends, special attention should be paid to environmentally friendly methods of extraction and processing of titanium raw materials.
