Abstract

The monograph of Svitlana Radziyevska is the logical continuation of the previous research by the author dedicated to a wide range of integration issues on the regional and global levels of the world economy. The study focuses on the theoretical-methodological and practical aspects of the structural interdependence of globalization and regionalization. The author gives her explanation of the process of the multipolar world formation as opposed to the unipolar one. The reader will find the calculated indicators of the major regional integration groupings covering Europe, Asia, North, South America, Africa, as well as thorough description of the economic development of the USA and China. On the one hand, the research examines the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, striving to sign FTA between the USA and the EU with the purpose of strengthening their joint impact on the world economy in the form of the Euro-Atlantic Center of economic influence, introduced by the USA. On the other hand, the book investigates the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership as the coalition pushing the interests of the Eastern enclave of economic power, along with «One belt, one road», initiated by China.
Finally, the mechanism of structural interdependence of globalization and regionalization in the regional integration groups (EU, USMCA, ASEAN) is manifested as a result of the development, on the one hand, of internal ties aimed at ensuring the interaction of forming states and institutions within the association, and, on the other hand, external relations aimed at the bloc’s participation in globalization. Contribution to the study of regionalism as a stimulating phenomenon that determines the development of the global economy, allowed the researcher to conclude that regionalization is critical for a sustainable future of the world.
