Abstract

On November 15-16, 2022, a two-day Public Forum "Peasant farms and farm enterprises during the war and the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine: political dialogue" was held in Kyiv. Based on the results of discussions and previous large-scale regional meetings on these issues and guided by the fact that FAO and other UN organizations, the European Union recognized the importance of traditional knowledge of farmers in providing the population with safe and quality food, small agricultural producers and consumers in Ukraine agreed that Ukrainians deserve a new state policy for agri-food reconstruction, which supports traditional food culture based on the health of the nation and prioritizing environmental responsibility and economic justice over modern systems of industrial, agroholding-type agricultural production.
