Problems of forming the content of historical education in Ukraine: integration of science and education

Abstract

The report highlights a wide range of issues related to the content of historical education in Ukraine, which in the current circumstances becomes a matter of national security. The significant contribution of academic institutions in the field of history to the formation of historical education content is noted. The need to adopt the concept of historical education for 12-years school, restore full-scale scientific expertise of textbooks with the participation of relevant institutes of the NAS of Ukraine, develop current issues of historical didactics, public history and popularization of historical knowledge is emphasized.
