Determination of faults by the sedimentation rates

The sedimentation rates at the central section of the Black Sea North-West shelf are defined by six time cuts from the Middle Jurassic to the present. The locations of sedimentary cover faults locations are marked, basing upon the analysis of break-over points of the velocity curves. Good agreement of the obtained results with the previous research results allows us to make conclusion of the potential of the presented procedure for the detection of fault zones.
