Devoted to 40th anniversary of UNESCO program «Man and the Biosphere»

Abstract

The article surveys almost 40 years period of National committee of Ukraine coordinating researches in UNESCO program «Man and the Biosphere» bounds activity. Authors accentuate the importance of interdiscipline approach to natural resources studying which helps substantially to scientists to prepare recommendations on rational using of nature, solution of sustainable development problems, society and environment interactions harmonizing, terrestrial, fresh-water and sea ecosystems protection. All aspects in organization and research work of National committee of Ukraine on UNESCO program «Man and the Biosphere» are showed, the foundation of biosphere reserves national network in our country is viewed in detail. The prior tasks in realization of program «Man and the Biosphere» in global aimes of sustainable development reaching context are determined.
